Mitchell: played a key role in Deutsche Bank’s transformation

On December 22 2000, Edson Mitchell was killed in a plane crash. His death has deprived Deutsche Bank of a talented banker and a key figure in its transformation from a small player into a bulge bracket investment bank. Last year Deutsche Bank won Best Bank in Euromoney’s awards for excellence, largely in recognition for the transformation Mitchell engineered.
