FX people moves: RBS’s loss is HSBC’s gain

Sean Rochford, ex RBS and Goldman Sachs, who is also a qualified engineer, joins HSBC as global head of FX operations from March 15.

Sean will be reporting to Nazir Badat, global head of global markets operations, and will be based in London.

Badat says: “Sean will partner closely with the global FX business to build capacity for the planned FX expansion and to strengthen our franchise by supporting strategic client initiatives such as FX prime services and e-trading.
