theweeklyFix inexplicably missed the move of Beat Nussbaumer to UniCredit a week or so ago.
Now he’s UniCredit’s European head of cash trading, Nussbaumer reports to the bank’s global head of FX, Nick Crawford.
The hiring of Nussbaumer looks to be something of a coup for the Italian bank, which is obviously seeking to strengthen its FX offering. Nussbaumer started in FX at UBS in 1985, joined Morgan Stanley in 1997 to co-head proprietary trading before moving to Goldman Sachs’s global macro trading desk in 2003.
