Banco Agrícola is the largest bank in the country, with $3 billion in assets, and is also more profitable than rival Cuscatlán, with $31 million rather than $22 million of net income, and a return on assets of 1.03% compared with 0.96%.
Cuscatlán will surely reappear in these awards at some point, however, in light of its extensive activities outside its home country.
