Raiffeisen Bank
Raiffeisen International bought Albania's Banka e Kursimeve in April 2004 for $126 million in Albania's largest privatization ever.
Previously, the bank had not been allowed to undertake credit operations, but under Raiffeisen's guidance it built up a €23 million corporate loan portfolio by the end of the year, and increased assets by 18% to €1.6 billion. It is now the country's largest bank, with a 57% market share in deposits.
