Cash management debate: The tricky path to standardization


Jack Large (chairman – JL) is a partner at J&W Associates and is an independent consultant working in cash and treasury management and payment cards. He provides consultancy services and training seminars for financial institutions, payment system companies and multinational corporations.

Sonia Rossetti (SR) is European head for cash and cards, transaction banking at ABN Amro in London, responsible for payables, receivables and commercial cards solutions. Previously, she was head of Europe Refocus Transaction Banking Europe, a group that looked at the changing environment in Europe, working on new strategic product solutions and integration initiatives.

Michael Thom (MT) deals with retail issues, consumer policy and payment systems at the European Commission. He has more than 20 years’ EC experience. He led the team negotiating the Payment Services Directive and is now responsible for Sepa. He has an honours degree in mathematics from Cambridge and an MBA (KUL-Belgium).

Rajesh Mehta (RM) is the cash management head for Citi’s global transaction services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, responsible for cash management and treasury solutions to customers including multinational corporations, local companies, small and medium-sized enterprises and financial institutions.
