Covered bonds debate: Covered bond issuers take on the global market


Lorenz Altenburg (LA) is a syndicate manager at Société Générale in Paris. He is responsible for European covered bond syndication and was previously head of covered bond trading. He has also worked for Banque Indosuez/Crédit Agricole Indosuez in Tokyo and New York as head of covered bond trading and as a credit portfolio manager.

Patrick Amat (PA) is chief financial officer at Crédit Immobilier de France. He is chairman of CIF Euromortgage, the CIF subsidiary that is a société de crédit foncier and issues obligations foncières. He is vice-chairman of the European Covered Bond Council in Brussels, and member of the board of the Association Française des Gestionnaires Actif-Passif in Paris.

Jeremy Bradley (JB) is a director in the HBOS Treasury Services securitization team that has responsibility for arranging all HBOS securitization and covered bond transactions.

Lars Dalitz (LD) is a fixed income portfolio management expert at the European Central Bank, where he is mainly responsible for covered bonds. He was previously a fixed-income portfolio manager at Union Investment Privatfonds, specializing in covered bonds and inflation linked bonds.

Steffen Dahmer (SD) is an executive director at JPMorgan and is the product manager of covered bonds and head of trading & syndicate covered bonds. He is based in Frankfurt. Before joining JPMorgan he was head of trading in Germany at Barclays Capital.

 Georg Grodzki (GG) is global head of investment-grade credit research at RBC Capital Markets. Before joining RBC in 2001, he oversaw CSFB’s European credit advisory and credit research activities.

Louis Hagen (LH) is executive director of the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks in Berlin and chairman of the European Covered Bond Council in Brussels. He held several executive positions in the organization in the Bonn and Brussels offices.

Hélène Mariane Heberlein (HH) is a managing director and the head of European covered bonds at Fitch Ratings. She is in charge of rating analysis of the covered bonds issued by banks in European countries with or without specific covered bonds legislation.

Philip Moore (PM) is a contributing editor to Euromoney magazine and has been writing about the German Pfandbrief market since the early 1990s.

Per Tunestam (PT) is head of covered bonds and securitization at SBAB. He is also CEO of SCBC, which is SBAB’s wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to issuing covered bonds from the SBAB group.
