RBS goes live with streaming FX spot trading

The Royal Bank of Scotland Financial Markets (RBS) is the first major international bank to announce that it has gone live with streaming FX spot trading via the Bloomberg Professional Service.

This new eCommerce development complements RBS's existing electronic trading capabilities on Bloomberg allowing clients to trade Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income online with RBS as well as accessing our research, all from one single platform.

The new RBS functionality will offer customers enhanced straight-through-processing and greater FX trading functionality, allowing clients to keep an eye on the markets, obtain news, use technical analysis and access research.

Additional services to be added in the coming months include FX swaps, outrights, orders and allocations.

Commenting on the new service via Bloomberg, Tom Roche, Global Head of Financial Markets eCommerce, RBS, said: "We believe eCommerce is about service as well as product. We are absolutely committed to giving our customers a quality service where they can choose how they transact with us be it on the telephone or on an electronic platform, whether that's our own or a third party's."
