We will continue to award best bank and best investment bank awards in each country, where possible. The criteria remain the same, although we are keen to hear from you about how you are responding as a business to the Covid-19 crisis.
We will continue to nominate award winners across the existing 11 regional categories, where possible.
ADDITIONAL NEW REGIONAL AWARD: In each region this year, we will be giving a new recognition - the “Euromoney Excellence in Leadership” awards. Our editorial team has been hugely impressed by the swift reaction of many banks across the world in responding to the Covid-19 crisis. The Excellence in Leadership awards will recognise these efforts.
We want to hear from you directly about what you have done for your employees, your clients, your own business and your societies and economies. There will be no individual categories for these awards. We anticipate that up to six banks in each region will be recognised in this way.
The submission deadline for this new award is later than for the other regional categories - see the dates below for details. As with other awards please restrict your submissions to no more than four pages of A4 in length. These awards are open to all banks operating within the respective region.
It is too early to assess the long-term impact of the Covid-19 crisis on the global banking industry. For that reason we have decided to postpone decisions for our Global Awards for Excellence categories until a little later in the year.
We want to take time to review which categories remain relevant in the current environment. Given the vital role that banks are playing in the response to Covid-19, we want to allow more time to see and consider the impact of your actions - and, in our investment and corporate banking categories, your ability to keep markets open and provide solutions for your clients.
ADDITIONAL NEW GLOBAL AWARD: We will also be recognising a select group of banks in our new Global Excellence in Leadership awards, similar to the new regional awards above.
We will update you on the new timetable for our Global Awards in due course, but we anticipate asking for submissions to come in around the middle of July, decisions by the middle of August and publication in September.
Our Awards for Excellence have been running for more than a quarter of a century and represent the ultimate accolade of success. Last year we received almost 1,000 submissions from all over the world. Only those institutions that bring the highest levels of service, innovation and expertise to their customers are honoured by these prestigious awards.
