Best bank: Commonwealth Bank of Australia
Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) is this year’s winner of the award for Australia’s Best Bank, reflecting the scale of its franchise, the consistency of its financial performance and its leadership in digital banking.
The bank delivered another strong set of results over the review period, with statutory net profit after tax of AUD10.1 billion ($7.05 billion) and operating income of AUD28.5 billion, supported by disciplined cost management and stable margins.
