UniCredit has stepped up its corporate payments agenda in Europe, with a series of concrete launches and platform upgrades aimed at speed, transparency and multi-currency reach.
UniCredit’s re-engineered internal structure has been a driving force behind these advancements. In 2023, the bank introduced a Group Payment Solutions function to harmonise expertise and client experience across countries, while a year ago it kicked off a multi-year cross-border payment strategy programme to renew core infrastructure and free the franchise from legacy constraints.
“Our Group Payments function, established two years ago, harmonises UniCredit’s capabilities and shares best practices across our European markets,” says Raphael Barisaac, senior vice-president, global head of payments and cash management, digital transformation.
