Mashreq delivered a streamlined cash management solution for one of the Middle East’s largest retailers, combining centralised infrastructure, digital integration and liquidity optimisation to reshape treasury operations.
The project overhauled LuLu Group’s previously fragmented setup, which relied on 55 banking relationships and 350 accounts across its hypermarket network. Payments were issued manually at store level, and over 6,000 suppliers had to submit invoices and collect cheques in person, which was resource-draining for both LuLu and suppliers.
