Maybank has been recognised for executing Indonesia’s best trade finance deal for PT Semen Indonesia (Persero), a leading cement producer, through a supply chain financing arrangement. The transaction stands out for its strategic importance, strong impact and innovative structure.
From a strategic standpoint, PT Semen Indonesia is the largest cement manufacturer in Southeast Asia, whose operations extend across ASEAN, South Asia, Africa and Australia. The company plays a pivotal role in Indonesia’s infrastructure development, including contributions to the construction of the new capital city.
With the company having control over more than half of the national cement market, the transaction supports a network of over 20 subsidiaries, alongside a broad ecosystem of suppliers, distributors and employees.
