Awards for Excellence 2025 winners celebrate in London

DBS claimed the world’s best bank title while Jane Fraser took banker of the year honours. The ceremony brought together global banking leaders from DBS, Citi, Societe Generale, Morgan Stanley and Santander, among many others.

Euromoney welcomed banking leaders from all over the world to its prestigious Awards for Excellence 2025 on Thursday, July 17, at The Peninsula hotel in London. The ceremony, presented by former shadow chancellor Ed Balls, brought together the world’s most influential executives to recognise outstanding achievement across the global financial services industry. 

Euromoney’s chief research officer Andrei Charniauski kicked off a night of celebration after a spectacular drumming performance by artist Afishal. Mind-bending magic from Ben Hanlin kept the audience enthralled as banking executives applauded more than one hundred awards throughout the night. 

DBS claimed the coveted title of world’s best bank for 2025, with CEO Tan Su Shan accepting the award that recognises the Singapore bank’s remarkable transformation. Citi’s Jane Fraser earned banker of the year honours for her decisive leadership in reshaping one of the world’s most complex financial institutions.  

Other notable winners included Societe Generale, which secured the world’s best bank for ESG award, Morgan Stanley as world’s best investment bank and HSBC as the world’s best bank for large corporates
