Barclays has made some big hires in its nascent European equity capital markets businesses. Jim Renwick is due to become head of UK equity capital markets and corporate broking inside the investment banking division, reporting to Richard Boath, head of global finance, EMEA, in London and to David Erickson, co-head of global equity capital markets in New York. Renwick joins from UBS, where he had risen to head of ECM in a 19- year career briefly interrupted by a stint at the boutique firm Bridgewell.
