Bernd Knobloch: not an easy decision

“This was not an easy decision for me,” Knobloch said. “But now that the integration of Eurohypo into Commerzbank has been completed, I see the opportunity to open a new chapter in my career.” Knobloch is credited with transforming Eurohypo from a conventional mortgage institution into a specialist bank for commercial real estate and public finance. He established Eurohypo’s capital markets-oriented business and expanded the bank’s international business. Following his appointment to the board of managing directors at Commerzbank in early 2006, he led the integration of Eurohypo into the Commerzbank Group.
