Structured finance market round up: Palache to chair ESF

The European Securitization Forum has elected Robert Palache, head of European securitization and asset monetization at Morgan Stanley International, as chairman for 2008. Palache succeeds Philip Tromp, managing director at Financial Security Assurance, who held the post for two years.

The European Securitization Forum has elected Robert Palache, head of European securitization and asset monetization at Morgan Stanley International, as chairman for 2008. Palache succeeds Philip Tromp, managing director at Financial Security Assurance, who held the post for two years.

Palache surprised the industry when he resigned as European head of corporate securitization and real estate at Barclays Capital in June 2006 to join Morgan Stanley, where he was appointed to originate deals across corporate, infrastructure and ‘new asset’ securitizations, a newly created position at the time.
