IMF offers extra-special drawing rights

It’s good to see that the top men in the multilaterals are devoting time to looking after the interests of the man in the street and not just governments. Or so the Nigerian 419-style scamsters would like to have us believe.

A recent email with the sign-off “Rodrigo de Rato y Figaredo, Managing Director, IMF” said that he had seen the recipient’s name on the IMF’s “Central Computer” in a list of long-overdue unpaid beneficiaries of lotto winnings to the tune of $2.7 million.

He continued fluently: “I wish to inform this because there is a lot of junks mail flying over to internet and some people are using advantage to collect account information from people on internet for fraudulent purpose that is while [sic] your payment will come through ATM visa card system.
