Central bank governor award and Minister of finance awards announced

The central bank governor of the year award reflects Riad Salamé’s achievements throughout his tenure much more than his reaction to recent events. Salamé faces yet another challenge following the recent outbreak.

Euromoney’s minister of finance of the year, Dr Sri Mulyani Indrawati, was praised for her role in boosting Indonesia’s economy as well as its standing in the international financial markets. Indrawati has made some key decisions since her appointment, winning many friends abroad. She will need to win more friends at home.
