CF round-up: Good news for investment bankers this month…

According to a new compensation survey by executive search and consulting firm Options Group, M&A bankers will enjoy the biggest increase in overall compensation (salary and bonuses) in 2005, up 20% to 25% on average compared with 2004. Over 20 investment bankers at Morgan Stanley are said to have been laid off, in an effort to increase productivity levels in the division, one of the bank’s core franchises.
