International Bank of Azerbaijan IBA wins this award again, thanks to its dominance of the Azerbaijan banking sector, where it holds half of all banking assets, and half of all deposits.
The bank was active in 2003, setting up internet banking services, and winning an award for best internet bank provider in Asia.
It also bought Azericard, a credit card processing company, and developed its insurance subsidiary, International Insurance Company, which accounts for 43% of all the capital in the insurance sector.
