JP Morgan appears to have consolidated its long-held position as the leading manager of US pension funds’ international assets, but the growing number of money managers vying for clients’ funds is leading to increased competition among the followers.
According to Euromoney’s exclusive ranking by assets, compiled from data by InterSec Research of Stamford, Connecticut, overseas placement by American pension funds totalled nearly $27 billion at the end of 1985, up $12 billion for the year.
