Broeker, who will be based in London, has been hired to assist with the bank’s strategy in its foreign exchange business, and will work closely with Guy Laffineur, deputy head of markets at UniCredit. Laffineur has taken over as UniCredit’s interim head of FX following the departure of Nick Crawford last month. Crawford has since been reported to be joining Commerzbank as global head of FX trading in the New Year.
Ex head of Nomura FX options joins UniCredit as consultant
UniCredit has hired Bernd Broeker, the former head of FX options at Nomura, as a consultant to work on the bank’s foreign exchange business strategy in London, a source familiar with the situation has told EuromoneyFXNews.
