Brazil’s best for markets 2026: Santander

Santander strengthened its Brazilian markets business through investment in technology and closer coordination across its banking operations. Its approach focused on improving everyday execution while addressing clients’ more complex financing and risk management needs.

The bank accelerated a multi-year overhaul of its markets infrastructure, embedding automation across trading, transaction booking, risk management and post-trade processing. The programme targeted lower operational risk, greater processing capacity and shorter development times for new products.

Alongside this investment, Santander advanced fully digital FX execution across client segments, enabling clients to conduct transactions through digital banking channels without the need for transaction-level documentation.
