The world’s best electronic trading offering 2026: Liquidnet

Each day, about $110 billion of institutional equity orders sit in Liquidnet’s dark pools, and only about $5 billion to $7 billion of it gets matched. The remaining $100 billion or so is buyers and sellers who never meet, and Liquidnet sees that gap as the problem its electronic trading offering exists to solve.

“That’s a $100 billion problem,” says Chris Jackson, global head of equities. “That’s liquidity resting in our pools that’s not getting matched off, and that’s the enduring challenge for the institutional investment community.”

Liquidnet’s answer has been to keep building.
