Best bank
ABN Amro Citigroup still has a presence in Paraguay, but it is no longer dominant. Most of its retail clients, and all of its credit card operations, have been bought by Interbanco.
Interbanco is now number one in terms of local-currency deposits in the banking system but it still lacks a corporate franchise. The new best bank in Paraguay, then, is ABN Amro, which has a strong presence in both consumer and corporate banking, and which is the market leader in terms of dollar deposits.
