Major refinancing transactions and sustainability-driven acquisitions positioned K&H Bank at the forefront of Hungary’s real estate finance during the review period.
In the second quarter of 2025, the bank completed a refinancing of a shopping centre Breeam certified as “Very Good”. The deal supported retail infrastructure upgrades and integrated green technologies such as energy-efficient lighting and advanced HVAC systems to cut emissions and improve operational efficiency.
Across €138 million of real estate investment credits during the period, 90% met green loan criteria under EU Taxonomy and the National Bank of Hungary’s framework, accelerating Hungary’s green transition and strengthening compliance with evolving sustainability standards.
