Lloyds hires MF Global’s former European head, Richard Moore
Lloyds Bank has hired the former European CEO of MF Global as head of trading for its wholesale banking and markets division, according to an internal memo seen by EuromoneyFXNews.
Moore will be responsible for trading for credit, rates and FX trading, and provide a risk-management platform to support the funding and cash activities for the Lloyds Group. He will assume the responsibilities of Bruce Kellaway, who has been managing trading on an interim basis since August. He will start on March 1. Moore’s career spans 25 years in the financial services industry, including senior international roles across the foreign-exchange and fixed-income divisions at Citigroup from 1986 to 2008. He started his career in FX trading, where he became the Global Head of FX.
Moore is currently a non-executive director for Standard & Poor’s Credit Market Services Europe and was a principal and senior adviser to StormHarbour, the financial services partnership focused on the global fixed-income markets serving institutional investors, corporations and financial institutions.
