Kazkommertsbank wins best bank after a strong year in the booming domestic banking market. It made substantially more money than its nearest competitors. Its assets almost doubled, as did operating income, and net interest income rose by 70%.

TuranAlem Securities is the consistent leader in equities brokerage on the Kazakh stock exchange – it did the highest volume of trade last year, and managed to make a record profit in the second half of 2004.
