A scrap dealer is auctioning the chance to publicly destroy the repossessed BMW of the bankrupt former chairman of Anglo Irish Bank, Sean FitzPatrick. As Euromoney went to press, a bidder had already offered €5,200 for the chance to push the button on the scrapyard’s crushing machine: presumably in front of a cheering crowd and assembled press.
