For UK based courses

Type of visa – you should apply for a Standard Visitor Visa and request your Course Manager to prepare a visa invitation letter for you. Having your passport details on the invitation letter is not a strict requirement – however it does help speed up the process if we include the following information on the invite:

  • Passport number:
  • Full name on passport:
  • Date of issue:
  • Date of expiry:
  • Date of birth:

How long will it take - It can take around 3 weeks to secure a visa. It can take longer; processing times can vary depending on the time of year.

How can you apply for a visa - You can apply for a visa directly with the embassy. It is important that the training provider’s name (Euromoney Learning Solutions) is displayed correctly in your visa application form. If our name is displayed incorrectly then the Home Office may refuse the application.

Note - we are BAC accredited. Regulations came into effect in 2009 meaning that visas are granted only to delegates at accredited institutions. BAC supports the application of Standard Visitor Visas and is recognised by the UK Border Agency (UKBA).

For courses in the Middle East

Type of visa – you should apply for a Tourist Visa.

How long will it take - It can take around 2 weeks to secure a visa.

How can you apply for a visa – the venue can assist with visa applications. They will provide forms to complete and request the necessary documents. There will be a charge for this service and you will need to be staying at the venue. Alternatively you can apply for a visa direct with the embassy.

For courses in Africa

Type of visa – you should apply for a single entry visa.

How long will it take - most applications will take at least a week to 10 days.

How can you apply for a visa – You can apply for a visa directly with the embassy. You will need to include details on where you will be staying on the visa application. Venues will not always be booked at the time of registration but accommodation can be booked with an option to cancel without charge.

For courses in Europe

Type of visa – you should apply for a Tourist Visa.

How long will it take - It can take around 3 weeks to secure a visa. The venue can often provide a visa invitation letter. Some places will provide this free of charge (e.g. Paris), some places charge (e.g. Russia). The letters have to be requested – they are not automatic.

How can you apply for a visa – You can apply for a visa directly with the embassy. Some travel agents can also help with the visa process. In order to find out more you will need to address this with your own travel agent.

For courses in Hong Kong SAR & Singapore

Type of visa – you should apply for a “ Tourist Visa for attending a seminar”.

How long will it take – It takes at least 30 days to secure a visa.

How can you apply for a visa – You can apply for a visa directly with the embassy. Some travel agents can also help with the visa process. In order to find out more please speak to your local travel agent.
