Kevin's got a brand new pigbag

I finally got to bury one of the FX market’s more enduring urban myths at this year's FX Forum.

Legend has it that Kevin Rodgers, global head of FX derivatives at Deutsche Bank, was the drummer in Pigbag, who had a hit record way back in 1981 with the classic Papa's Got a Brand New Pigbag.

When I asked Deutsche's press office whether or not this was true I was met with a laugh and then incredulity. But it turns out the story is partly true and that the clearly highly talented Rogers worked as a session musician between school and university and played the congas on a couple of Pigbag songs. He subsequently moved on to bigger and better things in FX.
