There seems to be a bit of an exodus going on at Barclays in New York. Among those said to be moving on are Katherine Weber, an institutional salesperson who is supposedly off to Nomura; Matt Macleod, also in institutional sales, who is apparently off to Deutsche; Nilston Strazzi, LatAm sales, off to a destination unknown; and Brian Morales, a corporate salesman, who is rumoured to be off to Credit Suisse. The departures follow that of Jason Margiotta, the head of forwards trading, who also apparently decided to move to Nomura. In addition, sources in NY say that some of the bank’s spot traders are MIA. No doubt more information will emerge in due course.
