Structured credit debate: Innovation grows as market matures

Alex Bernand (AB) is global head of credit correlation at Deutsche Bank. He was previously at Bank of America as a managing director, where he ran structured credit trading and international investment-grade trading.

Peter Doherty (PD) is a partner at Solent Capital responsible for new business development , with 18 years’ experience in sales management. Before joining Solent he was a managing director at Bank of America, following periods at Bear Stearns and Goldman Sachs.

Loïc Fery (LF) is managing director, global head of credit markets & CDOs at Calyon, the corporate and investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole. He has been global head of structured credit & CDOs since 2001. His responsibilities include structured credit trading, CDO structuring and structured credit sales.

Jim Irvine (JI) is head of structured products, Henderson Global Investors. Before joining Henderson, he was managing director and head of the structured investment group of JPMorgan.

Alexandre Linden (AL) is senior director for European structured credit at Derivative Fitch. He has 11 years’ experience in credit. Before joining Derivative Fitch, he worked at BNP Paribas and Barclays Capital.

Benjamin Jacquard (BJ) was global head of structured credit trading at Bank of America at the time of this roundtable but has subsequently left the bank.

Dagmar Kent Kershaw (DKK) is head of structured credit products at Prudential M&G. She joined the company in 1998 and was responsible for starting its CDO activities in 2000. The group has launched more than 20 structured credit vehicles and CDOs, across cash and synthetic markets.

Anu Munshi (AM) is a partner at B&B Structured Finance Limited, a consortium of former market professionals that provides training and consulting services in structured credit to a wide range of financial institutions.

David Peacock (DP) is a co-founder of the CDO and high-grade credit group at Cheyne Capital. The group has approximately $2.5 billion of net assets under management, in CDO equity and various long/short strategies.
