« Real estate claims another banker

Speymill Group has hired Peter Warren, previously a managing director on the equity team at Goldman Sachs, to head its capital markets division. Warren’s move follows that of Neil Crowder, who resigned as co-head of European equity research at Goldman last May. Crowder set up his own property fund Chayton Capital.

Speymill is an Aim-listed construction, real estate investment and property management business. In addition to his capital markets duties, Warren will head up product development in the property management arm.

Warren held various positions during his 14 years on the equity team at Goldman, including research, origination and syndicate sides.

« Deutsche increases Asian presence

Deutsche Bank has reshuffled its teams to drive its Asian commercial real estate (CRE) business. Christopher Dunn has moved to Hong Kong from New York to become co-head of CRE for Asia ex-Japan. He takes up shared responsibility for CRE-related principal finance and securitization in the region. He will report to Frank Forelle, head of CRE for Asia-Pacific.

Paul Richardson is moving to Hong Kong too. He leaves his role as director at Deutsche CRE in Japan to join the CRE Asia team, and will be responsible for originating, structuring and pricing CMBS in the region.
