The number of years that UBS has placed first in the Institutional Investor All-Europe research survey. The bank won with a total of 37 ranked teams, nine ahead of second-placed Citigroup. UBS achieved 11 first positions, seven second-team positions, eight third-team positions and 11 runner-up positions.

The percentage of asset mangers overweight in equities, in the latest Merrill Lynch investment managers survey. The figure is at a 10-month high and shows that asset allocators are increasingly enamoured of the asset class.

The net percentage of fund managers overweight eurozone equities in the same survey, the highest in 18 months. Eurozone equities are the flavour of the month according to Merrill Lynch’s Karen Olney, chief European equity strategist, because they have re-rated less than other asset classes in Europe, such as high-yield bonds and property.
