Blundell moves to Grosvenor

Roger Blundell is the new finance director at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, the UK arm of the international property group, which has £11 billion ($22.7 billion) of assets under management.

He replaces Richard Handley, who is leaving Grosvenor. Handley will work with Blundell during the changeover and leave at the end of the first quarter of 2008. The firm says he is about to "embark on a new stage in his personal and professional life".

Before joining Grosvenor, Blundell was group finance director at Kensington Group and worked at BSkyB and Kingfisher.

He will be based in London and report to Mark Preston, chief executive, who said Blundell "brings experience from sectors other than property, including the financial services sector and retail and his skills will complement the executive make-up of the board".
