Is bondcast the new podcast?

The Lehman Bond Show will now be available via podcast.

Hats off to the Lehman Brothers fixed income analysts team. Their research is top quality but now the Lehman Bond Show – where its global chief fixed income strategist, Jack Malvey, impressively holds forth on macroeconomic trends – is set to become the new big thing.

For some time this offering has been available to Lehman’s investors via a webcast. But in the coming weeks the Bond Show will be joining the growing ranks of broadcasters, media providers, comedians, pressure groups and so on that have a message they want to share by providing podcasts. Given that the latest iPods have visual functionality in addition to audio the possibilities are endless.

Downloadable unofficial museum tours are called musecasts, church sermon podcasts are called godcasts. So if the trend catches on, the term bondcast is set to be the latest buzzword.
