Dealogic's 2004 global DCM rankings

CF brings you Dealogic's global DCM rankings for 2004.

Global DCM deal count fell by 2% in 2004 but an increase in average deal size meant that deal volume increased slightly to $5.4 trillion compared to $5.2 trillion in 2003

Global DCM revenue increased to $17.1bn from $16.4 billion in 2003. IG debt issuance was once again the biggest driver in revenues accounting for 30% of global DCM revenue

Global ABS volume increased by 41% to $920.2 billion compared to 2003, accounting for 17% of Global DCM volume, the highest level on record. Revenues from ABS issuance also increased and accounted for 11% of global DCM revenues.

US DCM volumes decreased 1% to $3.0 trillion, although US ABS issuance hit record levels with a 52% rise to $709.5 billion in 2004 compared to 2003. US revenues totaled $9.4 billion, 3% down from 2003.

EMEA DCM volume increased by 15% to $1.9 billion in 2004. Revenues from HY debt increased by 62% to $659 million in 2004 from $406 million in 2003.

AsiaPacific (ex Japan) DCM generated the highest revenue and volume on record; revenue up 17% generating $780m in 2004 from $665 million in 2003.
