Venezuela: US Ambassador says Chávez' words may have consequences

US Ambassador to Venezuela William Brownfield thinks that he has more important things to do than replying to the statements of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. The head of state Thursday 17 called US President George W. Bush "assassin, genocidal and nuts" when commenting on the remarks of Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Tom Shannon, who criticized the Venezuelan government. The diplomat conceded that "words have consequences and perhaps other people may reply," as published by El Universal newspaper.
