Foreign Investment: Argentina and Chile compete for third place

El Cronista Latin America remains as an attractive destination for multinational companies’ Foreign Direct Investments (FDI). However, a report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) says such attractiveness is concentrated in the region’s two-biggest economies, Brazil and Mexico, followed by Argentina, Chile, Peru and Venezuela. Experts say Chile is Latin America’s third most-attractive economy, and 59% of investors choose it as a destination, while 32% of polled “vote” for Argentina. Regarding companies, 57% choose Argentina and 51%, Chile.
