Best at equity derivatives

UBS

UBS's electronic equity derivatives platforms SwisKey and KeyInvest attracted more than twice as many votes as runner-up Morgan Stanley. As with its other platforms, UBS has spent much of the past year investing heavily in upgrading the basic behind-the-scenes infrastructure. A platform such as SwisKey, which can send orders to multiple markets and view live orders from these markets, requires particularly robust infrastructure and UBS has concentrated on getting these basics right.

SwisKey is UBS's direct market and clearing platform. It offers access to exchange traded derivatives worldwide and now has over 1,000 individual users. It is showing strong year-on-year volume growth of 30%.

SwisKey's trade allocation tools give users the ability to split orders between different funds either before trading or post trading and feature real-time matching.

KeyInvest is a separate platform for delivering structured products to mainly Swiss and German retail clients.
