BNP Paribas announces senior appointments in fixed income
BNP Paribas has appointed Peter Michel as head of DCM corporate client coverage in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and Mike Meiss as senior derivatives marketer to German and Austrian corporate clients, both within Fixed Income.
Michel joins the bank on December 6 and will report to Brian Lazell, head of corporate DCM. Jochen Munzinger and Nicolas Moeller, which were hired earlier this year to cover German corporate clients, will report to Peter. Meiss joined the bank on November 22 and will report to Andrew Firth, head of Northern Europe derivatives marketing.
Michel brings extensive experience with him, having worked at Nomura where he was responsible for the origination of all bond, securitisation, derivative and real estate related products for Germany and Switzerland. Prior to that he was at Greenwich Natwest (now Royal Bank of Scotland) and for 10 years at UBS where he was latterly responsible for the origination of non-domestic DCM products in Germany. Commenting on the hire of Michel, Brian Lazell head of European corporate DCM says: ?The appointment of Peter underlines our continuing commitment to our corporate clients generally, and specifically in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It complements our strong client coverage in other countries around Europe.?
