Toms bet their shirts on edgy trading attire

If you think loan trading is colourless and unexciting, take a look at Thomas Duetoft, head of European loan trading at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, and his colleague Tom Johannessen, vice-president of loan trading.

The two Toms were spotted one lunch hour visiting "directional" UK men's outfitters Richard James in shopping emporium The Royal Exchange in London, also patronized by Tom Cruise and Liam Gallagher of Britpop stalwarts Oasis.

There, they quickly made three brave yet edgy shirt selections: one stripy, one with retro 1970s spots and, the pièce de resistance, a bright pink satin damask with a floral design.

Workers in DrKW's central London offices are likely to get a sneak preview of the shirts before the two Toms hit the bars; they will be worn first on the trading floor.
