Crawford joins Commerzbank as global head of FX trading

Nick Crawford, the former global head of FX at Unicredit, has joined Commerzbank as global head of FX trading, a bank spokesperson has confirmed.

Crawford began work this week and will be based in London reporting to Hui-Sun Kim, head of fixed income and currencies trading. “In light of new regulatory changes and challenging market conditions we are particularly keen to build on our already successful FX franchise. We are delighted welcome Nick to the team; his appointment reflects our strong commitment to our FX business,” Kim said in a statement today.

Crawford left Unicredit in September where he held the position of global head of FX since June 2009. Before Unicredit, Crawford was global co-head of FX trading at Merrill Lynch based in New York between 2004 and 2006.

Commerzbank placed 15th in this year’s Euromoney FX survey with an overall market share of 1.27%.
