RBS hires new head of global electronic distribution

Royal Bank of Scotland has hired a new head of global electronic distribution responsible for rates, credit, FX and futures across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

Jeremy Smart will be based in London and report to Fabian Shey, global head of prime services and client execution.

Smart worked for nine years at Deutsche Bank as a senior salesman involved in the development and distribution of the company’s market-leading Autobahn FX platform. He then joined Morgan Stanley in 2005 where he worked as head of fixed income e-commerce and global head of e-commerce sales.
