It has hired Robert Dantone as sales director, Americas, starting on June 1, from FlexTrade, where he was a vice-president of FX sales. He brings vast FX industry experience, having previously worked at GFI, Obex Securities, FXCM, Westpac and RBS in a range of roles. Based in New York, Dantone will be responsible for heading up sales in the region to banks, hedge funds and other FX market participants, reporting to John Farrell, global head of sales. Dantone’s appointment follows the hiring of Ian Scott in January, as sales director in Europe and the Middle East, based in London.
Founded in June 2010 by Jock Percy and Jon Vollemaere, FXecosystem has set about creating an electronic network solution that it claims provides faster on-boarding, lower latency and a cheaper connectivity alternative than existing connectivity providers.
