Euromoney’s annual Middle East survey is conducted between May and June. Best managed companies in the Middle East
This section is sent to bank analysts and equity investors, who give their opinions on which companies they think are the best by the individual company sectors.
In detail
Respondents were asked to nominate their top three Middle Eastern companies in order of quality by each company sector. Companies received four points for a first placed nomination, three points for a second place nomination and two points for a third place nomination. These points were then totalled to give an overall score.
We received 529 votes this year (up from 332 last year).
The principle reasons for exclusion of votes were:
• Yahoo/AOL-type email addresses given; • people voting for just one person or one firm on the ballot; • insufficient voter contact details; and • voting for one’s own firm as best in all categories.
