China cash management debate: The challenges of Chinese cash management
Lin Hong (LH) is director of the corporate banking unit at Bank of China’s head office, which he joined in 1987. He took charge of Bank of China’s cash management business two years ago.
Pang Mingfang (PMF) has been director of the operation management department at China Power Finance since 2006. She is in charge of cash concentration of State Grid’s Finance Intensification Project, with China Power Finance becoming State Grid Group’s platform to unify fund collection and settlement.
Scott Bao (SB) joined HSBC as a management associate in China and has been working at the bank for 13 years. Currently based in Beijing, he is responsible for HSBC’s banking relationship with leading Chinese SOEs whose headquarters are located in north China. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers.
Jiang Shuming (JSM) is vice-president of the treasury management and settlement department at China Construction Bank’s head office. He is in charge of the bank’s cash management, with responsibilities including product strategy, marketing and management. He joined CCB in 1993.
Yang Hongchao (YHC) joined China Harbour Engineering (CHEC) in August 2010 as division manager of the investment division in the market department. He is in charge of the management and coordination of overseas projects investment. His job scope includes project selection and evaluation, risk management, project supervision and implementation.
Lewis Sun (LS) is head of sales for global payments and cash management at HSBC Bank (China). Based in Shanghai, he is responsible for managing the China sales team that provides consultative cash management solutions and advice to corporates across mainland China. With 15 years of banking and IT experience, he first joined HSBC in 2002 as a product manager.
