Antico will report to Jon Kinol, who was a former colleague of his at Deutsche Bank, before Antico left to join Merrill Lynch in 2007, having held the position of head of Americas rates and currencies at for three-years. He was appointed head of G10 FX in March, but left the firm suddenly in September, the latest in a string of high profile departures from BAML in 2011. Other high profile departures included David Gu, the global head of rates and currencies, who retired from the firm in June, while, Neh Thaker, who ran structured rates and FX globally, and was regarded as Gu’s No. 2, followed two months later.
